This year CLRED Media, Inc. is launching the first annual Black Web Fest. Black Web Fest 2017 is a three-day festival where people from African diaspora unite to discover online shorts, web series, new media, and web industry trends. With the entertainment industry moving to more streaming platforms, there’s a vast amount of influencers, vloggers, and media makers making content for online platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo. The festival connects these creatives and media makers with opportunities to showcase their creative work. During the festival attendees will be able to screen web series and films created by Black media makers. The festival will also feature informative panels with industry professionals, media makers, and actors.
The event is currently accepting submissions for content to be showcased during the festival. The festival is awarding best vlog, best short film, best short documentary, and best web series. The festival will be screening a number of the submissions on April 8th.
