A.R Garcia’s She Hates Coffee Digs into the Male Introspective

A.R Garcia is an award-winning creative aficionado from Elizabeth, NJ is debuting his new stage play, “She Hates Coffee“, which will be premiering at the Hamilton Stage, Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ starting November 9th through the 11th with the intent to set out on a multi-city tour in 2019.

From as young as seven years old, A.R has used writing and music to express himself. At a point his poetry turned into short stories which opened the doors for him to go on to create plays. “She Hates Coffee” has been 12 years in the making and he’s so excited to finally be bringing this to life.

“She Hates Coffee” is a male introspective look on relationships. Breaking the stereotypical assumptions that women have about the apathy men have towards their feelings on their relationships. The story is about a young Latino male who is unlucky in love and has a bad habit of picking the wrong girl. After being left at the altar Jaden has to figure out how to move on with his life, luckily he has the support of his college buddies Tony and Maurice. Jaden’s search for love is again trumped by his inability to choose wisely when it comes to the matters of the heart. His inability to see the role he plays in his own downfall highlights his flawed view of what true love and healthy relationships are. It’s an emotionally engaged piece that allows people to see how men really feel and think about their love.

His other credits include: “The Broken Bachelor”, nominated for an “HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors); I Love Them All which he wrote and performed which he later adapted into a screenplay entitled, Saint Nicholas” which is on AMAZON PRIME; “My Time” and was also featured in the film “El Gallo”.
